- 언론법, 국회 재논의는 피할 수 없는 일
헌법재판소가 절차상 위법을 범한 것으로 판결한 언론법에 대해서 국회 재논의를 요구하던 최상재 전국언론노동조합 위원장을 경찰이 강제 연행했다.
서울 프레스센터 앞 마당에서 평화적인 방식으로 단식농성을 벌이던 최상재 언론노조 위원장을 강제 연행한 경찰의 행위에 대해서 우리는 강력히 항의하고자 한다.
헌법재판소는 방송법과 신문법이 절차상 위법을 저지른 점을 판결했다. 비록 헌재가 가결행위가 유효하다는 어불성설의 판결을 내렸지만 그 전제는 국회 재논의이라는 점은 명확하다.
따라서 국회 내 언론법 재논의를 요구하는 단식농성을 평화적으로 벌인 최상재 언론노조 위원장을 강제연행한 경찰의 행위는 도저히 납득할 수 없다.
경찰은 최상재 언론노조 위원장을 포함한 강제연행자를 즉각 석방해야 한다.
한국인터넷기자협회는 국민적 여론에 반하며 위법적으로 처리된 언론법 강행에 대해서 유감을 표명하며 국회 내 재논의를 거쳐서 국회 및 여야 정치권이 국민이 납득할 수 있는 합리적인 해결방안을 마련할 것을 촉구한다.
