<노무현 전 대통령 영결식에 즈음한 입장>
한국인터넷기자협회 이준희 회장 부부 내외와 김철관 수석부회장은 협회 회원사와 기자들을 대표하여 5월 28일 오후, 경남 김해시 봉하마을 노무현 전 대통령 분향소를 방문해 헌화하고 조문했습니다. 이준희 회장 등은 상주 자격으로 분향소를 지키고 있던 안희정 민주당 최고위원과 안영배 국정홍보처 전 차장 등을 만나 위로의 인사를 전했습니다.
한국인터넷기자협회는 노무현 전 대통령님의 명복을 진심으로 기원하며 유가족께 마음 속 깊은 위로의 말씀을 전합니다.
한국인터넷기자협회는 권위주의와 낡은 지역 대결주의를 타파하고자 하는 등 국민통합과 10.4 남북정상선언 등을 통해 평화통일을 성취하고자 했으며 특권적 기득권 언론과 낡은 기자실 문화 등을 개혁하고자 했던 노무현 대한민국 제16대 대통령의 뜻을 깊이 기억하고, 인터넷 언론의 소명과 책무를 다해 나갈 것입니다.
이른바 '박연차 게이트' 연루 혐의로 잇단 측근들의 구속 수사와 노무현 전 대통령 본인 및 가족에 대한 검찰 소환 수사는 국민을 너무나 안타깝게 한 사건임에 틀림없습니다. 따라서 참여정부 주체세력과 민주당은 역사의 평가가 얼마나 엄중한 것인지 깊이 각인해야 하며 노무현 전 대통령 서거 사건을 계기로 국민과 역사, 미래를 위해 새롭게 거듭나는 변환의 분기점으로 삼아야 할 것입니다.
그러나 퇴임 후 고향마을로 귀향해 마을 사람들과 함께 농촌 부흥의 꿈을 피우고자 했던 직전 대통령을 투신자살.서거로 몰아간 현 정치권력의 수사가 퇴행적 보복 정치의 일환이 아니었는지, 검찰의 일부 정략적인 피의사실 공포와 언론 플레이 등 전직 대통령 죽이기식 수사와 이를 무차별적으로 보도함으로써 결과적으로 노 전 대통령을 죽음의 벼랑 끝으로 내모는 데 검찰과 언론.기자들에게도 책임은 없는 것인지, 이들은 역사의 책임 추궁을 결코 외면해서는 안 될 것입니다.
또한 투신 자살 시도와 서거에 이르는 과정에서 경호팀이 보인 안일한 대처와 진술번복 등 책임 회피, 경찰의 졸속, 부실 수사로 말미암은 타살설 인터넷 확산 등 전직 대통령의 목숨을 끝까지 지키지 못한 청와대 경호처와 경찰 당국의 부실한 수사에 대한 책임은 반드시 물어야 할 것입니다.
현 이명박 정권은 노무현 전 대통령의 투신자살.서거와 북측의 2차 핵실험과 무력 충돌 국면 등 내우외환의 대 위기 앞에 놓여 있습니다. 이명박 정부는 대국민사과와 함께 내각 및 국정 대쇄신과 정치보복 철회, 비정규직법, 미디어악법 등 MB반민주주의 악법 중단 선언 등을 통한 국민 대화합을 이루기 위한 통합과 포용, 통합의 내치를 실현해야 할 것입니다. 나아가 전쟁 위기로 치닫고 있는 위기의 한반도 사태를 풀고, 평화 정착을 위한 범국민적 대북특사 파견 등 남북평화 대선언을 통해서 21세기 대한반도 평화 시대를 열어나가야 할 것입니다.
이를 위해 사회 여론 주도층과 인터넷 논객 등은 대립과 갈등을 확산하는 극단적 공격과 이분법적 논쟁을 중단하고, 통합과 대안, 차이와 다름을 인정하는 상생의 토론문화를 만들어 나가야 할 것입니다.
근본적인 국정대쇄신과 통합의 정치, 평화의 남북 대화합이 없이는 현재의 극단적인 사회 대립과 갈등은 앞으로 남은 3년 반 동안 이명박 정권을 괴롭힐 것입니다.
노무현 전 대통령이 마지막으로 던진 메시지의 의미를 현 정부가 진정으로 읽어내길 바랍니다. 현 정부의 대쇄신을 통한 온 국민의 성공, 행복을 진정으로 바랍니다.
끝으로 노무현 전 대통령님의 영원한 안식을 기원합니다.
